Unscathed NPCs and Vendors Guide

Unscathed’s lobby packs the systems that decide whether your next roll is efficient or wasted. If you cannot find the Dark Arts Merchant, Innkeeper, Flow, or Traveler quickly, you burn biome time walking. This guide maps the NPCs players search for most after launch and explains what to buy, craft, or send before a stacked luck session.

Pair it with Getting Started, potion crafting, gems and traits, and expeditions. For a video walkthrough of locations and luck timing, watch the embed on biomes and elements.

Dark Arts Merchant

The Dark Arts Merchant is the premium potion vendor. Community guides place the spawn on the right side of the waterfall at the back of the lobby, with roughly a 10% chance every 30 minutes. Stock often includes:

  • Fate Potions
  • Destiny Potions
  • Element Potions aimed at specific Aura families

How to hunt the spawn

  1. Climb the stone cliff steps toward the large waterfall
  2. Check the right side of the falls
  3. If the merchant is missing, server hop and check again
  4. Buy only what you can use in the next planned stack — do not empty Cash before Skill Tree Luck exists

Destiny and Fate belong at the end of the sequence in how to increase Luck, never during tutorial forced rolls.

Traveler

The Traveler (sometimes spelled Traveller) starts expeditions and may gate access to areas such as Badlands-style routes at the bottom of the dojo stairs. Keep expedition slots filled with spare Auras while you clear Story or wait on biomes.

Innkeeper

The Innkeeper sits behind or near the quest board in most lobby layouts. Expect:

  • Cloth and brass metal rings for crafting/gear loops
  • Heal consumables for boss attempts
  • Food and drinks that feed temporary luck or roll-speed buffs

Buy food after you commit to a rolling night so timers overlap potions, not inventory sorting.

Flow (gems and traits)

Flow handles gem upgrades and trait rerolls for many accounts. Bring fragments from battles and expeditions, then socket Luck traits before Fate windows. Full loadout logic is on gems and traits.

Sensei and the Dojo

Sensei unlocks turn-based combat during the tutorial and later supports Dojo / PvP training. Finish the three-Aura requirement before you spend premium potions. Deeper fight tips live in combat and bosses and PvP basics.

Alchemist and Blacksmith

Crafting NPCs convert materials into Lucky, Speed, Fate, Swift, and Destiny bottles plus gear. Prioritize Alchemist when potion stock gates your happiness; lean Blacksmith when a boss clear demands better stats. Recipe discipline is covered in potion crafting.

Shard vendor near Battle Teleporter

A shard-spending NPC near the battle teleporter lets you convert Shards from codes such as WEEK1 into progression items. Redeem codes first, then spend Shards on purpose instead of impulse buys during a bad biome.

Ground spawns

Lobby ground spawns can include Apples and Lucky Coins. Grab them right before potion windows — Apple-style food often adds a small luck bump that stacks with biomes.

Element reminder while you vendor hop

Vendors do not replace matchup knowledge. Light is a strong early priority in many guides because it has no listed weakness, while Fire beats Earth, Water beats Fire, and Earth beats Water. Keep a counter in your three-Aura team even if you are shopping for potions.

Session route that saves biome time

  1. Redeem new codes in Settings
  2. Claim finished expeditions at the Traveler
  3. Upgrade the main gem at Flow
  4. Check waterfall for Dark Arts Merchant
  5. Buy Innkeeper food if needed
  6. Confirm biome on biomes and elements
  7. Stack and roll with the Luck stack planner
  8. Tick boxes on the progression checklist

Common NPC mistakes

  • Wandering during a Monsoon/Inferno window instead of vendoring first
  • Buying Destiny with zero Skill Tree Luck
  • Ignoring Flow until endgame
  • Leaving expedition slots empty while shopping
  • Trusting unofficial Trello NPC maps — verify against the live lobby

Know the lobby once and every later luck stack becomes calmer. The players who lose Fate windows are usually the ones still looking for the waterfall stairs.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Check the right side of the lobby waterfall. Community guides cite about a 10% spawn chance every 30 minutes — server hop if the vendor is missing.

What does the Dark Arts Merchant sell?

Premium potions such as Fate, Destiny, and Element Potions. Buy them for planned stacked rolls, not random tutorial pulls.

Which NPC starts expeditions?

The Traveler / Traveller near the dojo stairs area starts expeditions so spare Auras can farm fragments and potions passively.
